There’s no fear like the fear of performing below any of my previous high standards I set for myself. Luckily, having won awards and having gained recognition for the work I do boosts my confidence and keeps me striving to climb ever upward.

Prominent sites like BusinessWeek and NYTimes are included in the companies or organizations that have given awards to various websites I have created or to products I have worked on. Here are a few of them:
Burrp
Burrp! is among the top 30 Web 2.0 non-U.S. companies in the world, as named by Business 2.0 magazine, a service of CNN (2008).
Featured designer (NWP)
New Web Pick magazine finds and selects the best designers and portfolios from the global creative community for innovative works, and I was selected as the featured designer in 2007.
Elle
Thousands of people participated in an online survey to choose the best of 36 International ELLE sites, and ELLE India was placed as second most favourite of all of them (2006).
Bacardi
The Bacardi Silver website received a Macromedia Max Award in 2005, under the 'Branding Experiences' category, for innovative and result-oriented design using Macromedia technology.
Intelligence Quota
I have entered many academic competitions and written many competency tests for subjects like maths, science, computers, and design, for which I have won awards.
3rd Generation Wireless Technology
Won 1st place for a Flash Presentation, designed using a self-video shoot and recorded voice over. A total of 32 teams from 18 colleges participated in the competition (2003).
College Topper in Bachelors
Earned a scholarship for standing 8th in Bachelors (BCA) in university, and for topping the class in college (2003).
All India Essay Competition
Achieved 5th place in a "50 years of Independence" essay writing competition, competing more than 2000 students across India, and the Hon. Chief Minister of India, Shiela Dixit, presented the award (1999).
Jewellery Presentation
Won 1st position in an Intra College Presentation contest, in which I created a presentation on Ethnic Jewellery using Adobe Flash (2002).
National Science Olympiad
Won 3rd prize in a National Science Olympiad held at All India level, with participants from schools all over India (2000).
Procom Contest
Stood first for continuous three years in the High School level Procom Computer & Aptitude Contest, with participants from the chain of my school (1998-2000).
Pencil Drawing Contest
Won 2nd prize in a Camlin pencil drawing contest, having competed against other participants from schools within the city (1998).
Bournvita Quiz Contest
Won 2nd prize as a team in a Bournvita Quiz Contest with participants from All India schools. This was the first time I appeared on TV (1998).
